My name is William “Willy” Miles, I’m 36 years old, and my connection to cannabis — and to the community — goes all the way back to when I was about 13. I grew up all over the 804: Dinwiddie, Hopewell, Petersburg, Colonial Heights. I didn’t come from money, I didn’t have a big support system or a strong family background. What I did have was people around me who needed help, and somehow, even as a kid, I became the person they trusted to look out for them. Life took me through the military, taught me discipline, gave me structure — but when I came back home, everything clicked. My real purpose has always been cannabis and taking care of the people who genuinely need me. That’s how Willie’s Wellness Center was born. This wasn’t built from privilege — it was built from the ground up… from struggle, from heart, from consistency, and from wanting to give people what I never had: a safe place, honest guidance, and real relief. We’ve been blessed to be voted Richmond’s Best three years in a row, but awards aren’t the foundation — people are. Community is. Because when you grow up without much, you learn real quick how important it is to give back. That’s why we stay rooted in community, giving back, helping families, supporting local, and showing love to the same streets that raised me. Now we’re expanding from Petersburg to Fredericksburg, and my mission is the same: build something real, something positive, something that lifts people up. Willie’s Wellness isn’t just a business — it’s a movement, a family, and a safe space built for everyday people who deserve natural relief and real respect.
